Mt. Zion UMC

 The first service in the new Mt Zion UMC was held on Thanksgiving Day, November 24. 1949. The church was dedicated on December 3, 1950. The church is located on 4477 Troublesome Valley in Franklin, WV. 

The mission statement of the congregation of the Mt Zion United Methodist Church is Reaching Out and Bringing People into the Family of Christ.  We are joined with the Walnut Street United Methodist Church and the Franklin Main Street UMC to form the Mountaintop Ministries Charge. We are served by Rev. Mike Loudermilk.

Sunday morning Worship begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 10:00 AM. Sunday school takes place at 10:00 AM, immediately after the worship service.  

Children are welcome in the worship service, Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.  All are invited to participate in this sacrament; you do not need to be a member of this congregation or the United Methodist Church.  Feel free to dress however you like, but the dress is usually business casual.  

We take up an offering. If you are a first time visitor, please do not feel that you are obligated to give, but feel free to give as the Lord leads you. Mt Zion United Methodist Church is warm and welcoming and we would love to have you come and worship with us!
