The mission statement of the congregation of the Walnut Street United Methodist Church is Worship, Service, United, Mission and Caring. We are joined with the Franklin – Main Street United Methodist Church and the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church to form the Mountaintop Ministries Charge. We are served by Rev. Mike Loudermilk. Walnut Street United Methodist Church is located on 88 Walnut Street in Franklin, WV. The church is handicap accessible.
Worship begins at 10:00 AM and ends at 11:00 AM. Sunday school takes place at 11:00 AM, right after the worship service.
Children are welcome in the worship service and Pastor Mike has a Children’s Sermon during regular worship.
Communion is celebrated on the second Sunday of each month. All are invited to participate in this sacrament; you do not need to be a member of this congregation or the United Methodist Church. Feel free to dress however you like, but the dress is usually business casual.
We take up an offering. If you are a first time visitor, please do not feel that you are obligated to give, but feel free to give as the Lord leads you. Walnut Street United Methodist Church is warm and welcoming and we would love to have you come and worship with us!
