About Us

Franklin UMC-Main Street

The mission statement of the congregation of the  Franklin United Methodist Church-Main Street is Seeking, Sharing, and Serving Christ.  We are joined with the Walnut Street United Methodist Church and the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church to form the Mountaintop Ministries Charge. We are served by Rev. Mike Loudermilk.  Franklin United Methodist Church was dedicated in 1882. The church is located on 162 Main Street in Franklin, WV.  The parsonage is located between the church and the Pendleton Community Bank.  The average attendance on Sunday morning is around 60.  The church is handicap accessible.

Sunday morning service features a chancel choir and bell choir . Worship begins at 11:00 AM and ends at noon. Sunday school takes place at 9:45 AM, right before the worship service.

Children are welcome in the worship service, however, there is Children’s Church that takes place in the basement, during the regular worship service. A variety of experiences are provided with stories, prayer, games, crafts, and worship.  The purpose of this program is to give each child a greater love for Bible stories and to experience the love of God and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.  All are invited to participate in this sacrament; you do not need to be a member of this congregation or the United Methodist Church.  Feel free to dress however you like, but the dress is usually business casual.

We take up an offering. If you are a first time visitor, please do not feel that you are obligated to give, but feel free to give as the Lord leads you. Franklin United Methodist Church is warm and welcoming and we would love to have you come and worship with us!
